Grades PDF Print E-mail

As with most sports, Junior Baseball is organised into grades or age groups. As we fall under the Auckland Baseball Association (ABA) we use the ABA grades, where players are placed in grades based on their age on the 31st December this year.

  • t-ball - under 8 non-competition, with players hitting balls off a T
  • U10 - also non-competition but with pitchers pitching to batters.
  • U12 - competition baseball on a 60' diamond (60' or 18.29m between bases)
  • U14 - competition baseball on a 80' diamond (80' or 24.38m between bases)
  • U16 - competition baseball on a 90' diamond (90' or 27.43m between bases)
  • U18 - competition baseball on a 90' diamond (90' or 27.43m between bases)
  • Senior - competition baseball on a 90' diamond (90' or 27.43m between bases)
